A reversible concrete drum mixer also called a reverse drum mixer or mini mobile batching plant is a type of concrete mixing machine widely used on construction sites to produce batches of uniform concrete on-site. Its key feature is a reversible drum that rotates in two directions — forward for mixing and reverse for discharging the concrete.

How It Works

Loading: Cement, sand, gravel (aggregates), water, and any additives are loaded into the drum through a hydraulic hopper.

Mixing: The reversible drum rotates forward usually clockwise Internal blades lift and tumble the ingredients to create a thorough, homogeneous mix.

Reversible Once mixed, the drum’s rotation is switched to reverse counter clockwise. The same blades now guide the concrete discharge out of the drum through the discharge opening.

Discharge: Concrete flows out in a controlled stream without tilting the drum, reducing spillage and waste.
